I chose to celebrate my 73rd birthday at the Landstein Restaurant. It was a terrific choice!!!! What a wonderful, intimate restaurant it was!
We started with the Chili Tiger Prawn salad which was amazing!
My wife had the Char (trout from the Carpathian Mountains) and I had the (Black Forest) Roasted Pork with sauerkraut and bread dumplings. Both dishes were incredibly good and very reasonably priced. The proprietor (Radi and chef (Hadi) were SO nice, helpful and knowledgeable and even though they were both very busy, took time to speak with us.
They have a wonderful and very extensive selection of whiskeys and the drinks were terrific.
If you’re looking for an intimate place to dine in Vienna, you can’t go wrong with the Landstein.
Elegant and warm ambience, amazing selection of drinks from all over the world, quality dishes, and welcoming, helpful service. The deer stew was out of this world, but the vegetarian options are also great. The Kaiserschmarrn is a giant portion, would work as a main dish as well.
We will definitely come back! :)
We had delicious meat stew and a falafel burger for our dinner and then, on special order, the chef made us Kaiserschmarrn! It was huge and amazing.

Solid but not old-fashioned restaurant on the outer part of Landstraßer Hauptstraße with a small but fine menu, also a few vegetarian options. The drinks menu is larger. Worth mentioning is the very impressive selection of Whiskies (perfectly served in a nosing glass). More than friendly staff.

Hands down one of the best meals I’ve eaten. The lentil soup is to die for, as is the Wiener schnitzel. And really good Prosecco too!
The restaurant has a really relaxed but upscale feel to it. I’m sure that anything you had on the menu would be perfect.
A great find just along the road from our hotel. Fantastic atmosphere, great food, reasonable prices. We were lucky to get a table without having booked [gets busy so booking is advised]. Attentive friendly staff who clearly were happy to make our evening great. Would thoroughly recommend, and you may even meet a celebrity who is a regular here!
